Our worker polls SEC EDGAR's ATOM feed. New 8-K filings typically appear within 10-30 seconds of SEC publication. We do not cache - every request hits SEC live.
What is an API key?
After subscribing, you receive a key starting with zk_. Pass it as Authorization: Bearer zk_your_key. Keys are tied to your plan and tracked per-day for rate limiting.
Do you cover all 8-K filings?
All 8-K filings submitted to SEC EDGAR - NYSE, NASDAQ, OTC, and foreign private issuers that file in the US. We do not filter by exchange or market cap.
Is there a rate limit on the Unlimited plan?
No per-day limit, but Cloudflare enforces a concurrency cap. Up to 200 requests/minute is fine. Need more? Contact us.
What is the difference between /v1/filings/recent and /v1/signals?
/v1/filings/recent returns all recent 8-K filings. /v1/signals filters to only HIGH (urgency 3) and CRITICAL (urgency 4) events - executive departures, non-reliance on financials, delistings, material impairments.
Can I use this for algorithmic trading?
Yes. Designed for quant traders, hedge funds, and research platforms. All SEC EDGAR data is public domain. Our processing layer is our proprietary value-add.
Do you store my requests?
We store daily and total request counts in Cloudflare KV for rate limiting. We do not log query content.
I need historical filings.
Historical bulk access (full SEC EDGAR 8-K archive, parsed) is planned for Q3 2026 on Unlimited. Need it sooner? Email research@zctechnologies.org.
